Skillshare SA is a job-sharing platform, conceptualised and designed from a brief targeting a specific community in South Africa. We had a 2-3-week window and a six-person team to deliver the first release, so we kept the scope tight: help people post jobs quickly, find nearby opportunities, and keep both sides up to date.
The app runs on a TypeScript stack with React powering the client, alongside React Router for navigation. On the backend, we used Node.js with Express plus Prisma over PostgreSQL, layered with JWT auth and Zod validation so every route stays type-safe.
The result is a platform that enables job seekers and employers to find one another.
